Position Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all plumbing installation and repair work including water, sanitary sewer, and storm systems.
- Manage large crews including Foremen, Plumbers, Apprentices, Laborers, and Subcontractors. (Crews that have 20+ people to manage on one job site at a time.)
- Lead weekly and daily project planning, goal setting, and scheduling (including 4-week look-aheads).
- Represent the company professionally in client and trade partner communications.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and codes. In 2D and 3D drawings.
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings and daily jobsite reports via company technology/applications.
- Schedule and track materials, inventory, equipment, and deliveries.
- Ensure plumbing layouts comply with contract documents and codes.
- Serve as the Competent Person on-site, ensuring OSHA, company, and client safety policies are followed.
- Conduct daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety walks, toolbox talks, and PPE inspections.
- Complete all required safety documentation and reports in a timely manner.
- Coach and mentor team members to improve skills, productivity, and safety practices.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 10+ years of plumbing experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory/foreman capacity.
- Ability to oversee multimillion-dollar commercial and industrial plumbing projects.
- Knowledge of a wide range of plumbing systems and materials.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and communication skills.
- OSHA 30
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to travel and stay on job sites for extended periods.
PREFERRED:
- Journeyman certification or equivalent
- NC or SC plumbing license
- Current certifications in First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Aerial Platform, Forklift, Rigging, and other safety training.
