Our dynamic team of over 700 professionals specializes in MEP support design, technical VDC (Virtual Design and Construction), project management, detailing, project support, and more. Headquartered in Southern California, ISAT also has offices in Northern California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Georgia, North Carolina, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Texas, and Puerto Rico. Additional expansion is expected.

Primary Responsibilities: 

Your role will encompass the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to: 

Interpretation of Project Documentation: Thoroughly review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, piping, and material specifications, as well as other project documentation. 


  • Project Documentation Analysis: Analyze and interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings, piping systems, and material specifications to inform design decisions and project execution strategies. 
  • 3D Modeling Leadership: Develop and oversee advanced 3D models of piping systems using tools such as Revit, MEP Fabrication, SysQue, or Stratus, ensuring design accuracy and alignment with overall project objectives. 
  • Design Oversight & Drawing Development: Lead the creation and review of fabrication and spool drawings, applying independent judgment to ensure consistency with project specifications, vendor data, and industry standards. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to resolve design challenges, provide technical guidance, and drive alignment across disciplines. 
  • Material Planning & Optimization: Evaluate and prepare material take-offs, making recommendations to optimize material usage, cost efficiency, and constructability. 
  • Production & Field Coordination: Serve as a key liaison to production teams, proactively addressing design considerations and ensuring fabricated components meet project and quality requirements. 
  • Code Compliance & Quality Assurance: Interpret and apply applicable piping codes, standards, and regulations, ensuring all designs meet compliance requirements and uphold quality standards. 
  • Problem Solving & Issue Resolution: Identify complex design or construction issues and independently develop effective solutions to minimize project impact. 
  • Documentation & Change Management: Oversee the accuracy and integrity of project documentation, including managing revisions and ensuring proper version control. 
  • Project Support & Technical Leadership: Contribute to project coordination efforts by providing technical expertise, supporting decision-making, and assisting in driving projects to successful completion.
