Job Title: Warehouse Assistant
Position Summary
MTB Mechanical is seeking a dependable and organized Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment to ensure field technicians have the supplies they need to complete projects efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, shelving, and storage areas.
- Pick, stage, and prepare materials, tools, and equipment for delivery to job sites.
- Load and unload trucks safely using appropriate equipment.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with inventory management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist with deliveries and material transfers as needed.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (training provided if applicable).
- Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Basic computer skills and experience using inventory systems are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment.
