Position Summary
The Range Barn Golf Shop Associate is a Seasonal Full-Time position responsible for delivering an exceptional service experience to members and guests at The Fall Line’s Range Barn facility.
This is a highly visible and interactive position requiring an individual who brings energy, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a genuine desire to engage with members and guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales acumen, confidently recommend merchandise and products, and recognize opportunities to enhance the member experience through personalized service.
Successful candidates must communicate clearly and professionally, be well-spoken and articulate, and consistently present themselves in a polished, well-groomed manner reflective of The Fall Line’s standards.
As part of The Fall Line’s team-oriented operating model, this position may also be required to work cross-functionally and provide support in other areas of Golf Operations/Club operations based on member activity, events, staffing requirements, and overall business needs. Flexibility and a willingness to assist outside of the employee’s primary assigned area are essential expectations of the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and engage members and guests with genuine enthusiasm, energy, and professionalism.
- Learn member preferences to provide personalized service.
- Create an environment that encourages members and guests to browse and purchase merchandise.
- Maintain strong knowledge of golf apparel, equipment, accessories, brands, and other merchandise offered through the Golf Shop.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding Range Barn services, practice facility operations, Golf Department activities, and Club offerings.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process purchases, member charges, returns, and other transactions.
- Assist with receiving, pricing, displaying, organizing, and replenishing merchandise.
- Maintain visually appealing, organized, and professional merchandise displays consistent with The Fall Line’s standards.
- Monitor inventory and communicate merchandise needs to Golf leadership.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, presentation, and overall appearance of the Range Barn Golf Shop and member areas.
- Ensure the Golf Shop and surrounding member-service areas are properly staged prior to opening and maintained throughout the day.
- Promptly communicate member requests, concerns, equipment issues, or operational needs to the appropriate manager/supervisor.
- Assist with tournaments, clinics, member events, special programs, and other Golf Operations activities.
- Work cross-functionally with other Golf Operations team members to support member service and operational needs.
- Protect Club property, merchandise, equipment, and confidential member information.
- Follow all Club safety, security, operating, and loss-prevention procedures.
- Perform opening and closing responsibilities as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Golf.
Member Service and Professional Standards
The Range Barn Golf Shop Associate represents The Fall Line through every interaction with members and guests. Employees in this position are expected to:

Qualifications
- Bachelors preffered.
- Previous experience in golf retail, luxury retail, hospitality, private clubs, sales, or customer service strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated sales ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing, engaging, and service-oriented personality.
- High level of energy, enthusiasm, and initiative.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to speak clearly, confidently, and professionally.
- Professional presence with a commitment to maintaining a polished and well-groomed appearance.
- Knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, accessories, brands, and general golf terminology preferred.
- Previous point-of-sale or retail transaction experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently when necessary.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of the Golf Operations team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements associated with retail and golf operations.
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise, golf equipment, boxes, and supplies weighing up to approximately 40 pounds.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as operational needs require.
Seasonal Work Schedule
This is a Seasonal Full-Time position with an anticipated employment season of September through June.
Work hours are based on Club usage and operational needs and may fluctuate throughout the season. Employees should anticipate reduced hours during periods of lower Club activity, particularly during December through February. Additional hours, including overtime when authorized, may be available during periods of peak Club usage.
The position requires flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, tournaments, and special events as scheduled.
Employment during a future season is anticipated based on business needs and satisfactory performance but is not guaranteed.
