Position Overview

This position is a senior-level technician and maintenance worker responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.  Scope of responsibility is often focused on an area of specialized maintenance expertise.  This position conducts all activities according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair a variety of mechanical, electrical, and fire suppression equipment and production machines

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of facility equipment and perform scheduled and/or preventive maintenance repairs during service

  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines, facility equipment, scales, and fire suppression systems

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders to perform required inspections, testing, maintenance, and service

  • Collaborate with engineers, manufacturers, contractors, and other personnel to identify, define, and solve operational and equipment problems

  • Conduct inspections and tests equipment for quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings, and recommendations

  • Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware

  • Procure needed parts, inventory, and equipment

  • Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all safety policies and standards related to position.  Work in a safe manner and recognize unsafe situations, take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others in building

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate’s Degree in technical field preferred

  • 3-5 years' relevant maintenance, service technician, or related technical experience required

  • Must be able to maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with PLCs, controls, HVAC, or industrial maintenance preferred

  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
