About the Role:

The Transportation Manager 1 is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of transportation activities to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and services across the United States. This role involves managing logistics, optimizing routes, and supervising transportation staff to maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies. The manager will collaborate with internal departments and external partners to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall service quality. They will analyze transportation data to identify trends and implement improvements that enhance operational performance. Ultimately, the Transportation Manager 1 plays a critical role in supporting the supply chain by ensuring that transportation functions align with organizational goals and customer expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation management or logistics operations.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification such as Certified Transportation Manager (CTM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
  • Experience with fleet management and route optimization software.
  • Familiarity with freight brokerage and carrier contract negotiations.
  • Background in managing multimodal transportation operations.

Responsibilities:
