Position Overview

The Range Safety Officer plays a vital role in delivering a safe, welcoming, and professional experience for all members and guests. This position is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, conducting safety briefings, monitoring range activity, and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist members and guests upon arrival.
• Deliver basic safety briefings and enforce all range rules to promote a secure environment.
• Monitor range activity to maintain safety and adherence to club protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of the range and clubhouse facilities.
• Accurately process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of club events, training sessions, and member activities.
• Respond to Medical Emergencies normally associated with Range Operations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working around firearms and enforcing safety rules.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or emergency situations.
• Must successfully pass a background check and meet all legal requirements to handle firearms.
• Basic knowledge of firearms and range operations.
• Be current in, or willing to be trained in TCCC Medical Training.
• Capable of working in outdoor conditions, year-round, in varying weather conditions.
• Physically able to stand, walk, lift, and perform hands-on tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to safely operate commercial lawn care equipment.
• Flexible availability including willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
