Job DetailsJob Location: Home Office - Lapeer, MI 48446 Major Duties and Responsibilities Playing on the children’s level Cleaning classrooms daily Diaper changes/Potty training Take children outside and upstairs for walks and to the playground Plan field trips if age appropriate Nap children Meeting children on their individual level Completing assessments in a timely manner Anecdotal notes for children Complete Lesson Plans Weekly Bottles/feeding infants Eat meals with children (Family style) Communication throughout meals about daily activities Inform Supervisor when inventory is low, or equipment needs repair Report concerns regarding children to Supervisor in a timely matter Responsible for the health, welfare, and safety of children in designated groups Intergenerational activities or walks Abide by applicable policies and procedures Complete paperwork on children daily and yearly Flexibility to move to other positions Possess a sincere commitment to the philosophy of Suncrest Daycare and LCMCF Supervise Aide in daily activities Train Aide in room of classroom policies and procedures Maintain professionalism with co-workers, families, children and in the classrooms QualificationsRequired Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required Must possess a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Must be able to read, follow oral directions and write legibly Must be honest, trustworthy and possess tolerance for all individuals Must be able to communicate with other departments Must have good physical and mental health. You will fill out an employee health history Must be able to work with little or no supervision Able to work with employees, residents, families, physicians, therapists, and consultants Must be able to handle multiple tasks with interruptions Able to handle numerous projects/problems with high degree of accuracy and organization Must have a pleasant personality and good telephone skills Physical Requirements/Risk Exposure Bend, twist, and stoop on a regular basis and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Tasks assigned to this position involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood or body fluids Be able to get up and down from the floor  Staff Development Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes, as required for certification Attend and participate in scheduled orientation programs and activities. Attend and complete monthly mandatory in-services Complete continuing education credit on your own annually
