Director, Case Management (Registered Nurse)
Location: Mayfield, Kentucky

The Director of Case Management provides strategic and operational leadership for the Case Management Department, ensuring effective patient care coordination, utilization management, discharge planning, regulatory compliance, and departmental performance. The Director oversees staffing, budgeting, quality initiatives, patient satisfaction, and continuous process improvement while fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
Direct daily Case Management department operations.
Develop departmental goals, policies, and strategic initiatives.
Lead utilization management and discharge planning programs.
Ensure high-quality patient care coordination.
Supervise hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluations, and staff development.
Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.
Coordinate internal and external audits.
Monitor quality metrics and departmental performance.
Implement evidence-based clinical practices.
Manage patient complaints and service recovery.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Promote staff engagement and professional growth.

Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Case Management experience in an acute care hospital.
ACMA Accredited Case Manager Certification or ability to obtain within two (2) years of hire.
Leadership experience within Hospital Case Management.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
