Responsibilities

What you will be doing as a METAL FINISHER:

• Examine and feel surfaces od metal to detect defects such as dents, scratches, or breaks in metal
• Remove dents, weld welts, and fills even surfaces with weld
• Prepares metal surfaces for painting
• Smooth surface of item to specified finish
• Polishes metal surface
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What it takes to be a METAL FINISHER with MEC:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one year related experience and/or training is preferred.
• Ability to train and work with others (Team Concept).
• Ability to do basic math
• Be able to lift and move 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
