About the Role

Join Loyola Medicine as a PACS Imaging Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting patients, physicians, and clinical teams by ensuring imaging records, scheduling, and image management processes run seamlessly.

You will serve as a key resource for coordinating medical imaging records, managing electronic image transfers, supporting physician conferences, and assisting patients and providers with their imaging needs.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, technology savvy, and passionate about delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and maintain diagnostic imaging records, including importing, digitizing, and distributing medical images using PACS and related systems.
  • Coordinate radiology appointments, imaging orders, and patient scheduling to support efficient department operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and staff by handling imaging requests and assisting with questions.
  • Transfer, retrieve, and validate medical images and records to ensure accurate and timely access to information.
  • Support radiologists and clinical teams by preparing imaging studies, reports, and materials for conferences and patient care activities.
  • Assist with medical record requests and administrative processes while ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Need

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, clerical, administrative, customer service, scheduling, or related environments.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn multiple software systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Epic, PACS, RIS, or other healthcare information systems.
  • Knowledge of medical imaging workflows and healthcare operations.

Pay Range: $15.50 - 20.12 USD Hourly  

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
