What you’ll do:

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides specialized care to burn patients in aprimarily inpatient setting with an outpatient clinic component, focusing on healing, complication prevention, and continuity across the care continuum.

Functions independently and collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and manage patient care. Performs comprehensive evaluations, develops and adjusts treatment plans, and performs advanced procedures as appropriate.

Coordinates care across settings, facilitates safe transitions, and provides patient/family education to support recovery. Identifies and manages acute and complex conditions, ensuring timely intervention.

Maintains clinical excellence in alignment with Loyola Medicine’s mission and standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.

What you’ll need for this job:

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education: Required: Master's Degree

Minimum Experience:

Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

Preferred: 6-10 years of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications:

Required:

  • CPR – (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support 

  • Nursing – Current Registered Nurse License - State of Illinois (RN) 

  • Nursing – Nursing Practitioner License – State of Illinois (APN)  

  • Physician Assistant License – State of Illinois (PA)  

Comp- Pay Range: $109,304 - $180,336 per year  

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
