Schedule: Day Shift; M-F (9:00am - 5:30pm)

Rotation: Individual will be scheduled as a working technologist 4 days of the week and provided 8 hours of office time.

Location: Loyola Medical Center & support Satellites as needed

About the Job

In this role the Radiology Imaging X-Ray Modality Technical Specialist, in collaboration with the Radiology Leadership, including Physician Leader(s), functions as the technical "subject matter expert". This position is charged with the development & implementation of all clinical imaging protocols for the region. The Radiology Imaging X-Ray Modality Technical Specialist acts as the chief educator/super trainer for all staff, Clinical Instructor, Scanner Accreditations, oversees all Safety protocols and all research projects, directs quality for the modality, and serves as a liaison between the equipment vendor, physicians, & staff. In addition, this person performs technical procedures, applying modality specific techniques that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative to provide the physician with the highest quality of diagnostic information.

What you'll need

  • Associate degree; or equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
  • Specific Degree(s): Radiologic Technology; Radiology Technologist- AMA approved program
  • 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
  • May require on-call, weekend, holiday and emergency coverage as department needs warrant.
  • Requires travelling to offsite locations as needed
  • Preferred: industry work experience as X-Ray Application Specialist with a major medical equipment vendor

Licensure/Certifications

Required:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist R.T.(R)(ARRT) (ARRT) Approved AMA program
  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA)
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association

Annual Salary Range: $35.00 - 59.00

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
