POSITION TITLE: Assistant District Attorney

LOCATION: Pittsburg County (McAlester, OK) & Haskell County (Stigler, OK)

STATUS: Full-Time/Immediate Opening

SALARY: Starting at $60,000, commensurate with experience

BENEFITS: Full State of Oklahoma benefits, including insurance allowance, paid sick and annual leave, paid holidays, and longevity.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The 18th Prosecutorial District for Pittsburg and Haskell Counties is seeking two full-time Assistant District Attorneys for the Pittsburg County Office in McAlester and Haskell County Office in Stigler, to begin immediately. The McAlester office at full capacity is a four-attorney office with 11 support staff. The Stigler Office is a single attorney office with two support staff

Caseload assignments will primarily be general felonies and property crimes, as well as the criminal misdemeanor and traffic dockets, and are subject to change based on caseload and applicant’s interest and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior prosecution experience is preferred but not required. Juris Doctorate (JD) from accredited law school. Admitted and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association; will consider candidates licensed in other states only if willing to relocate.
