About the Role:

The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely scheduling of healthcare procedures and for ensuring complete and accurate patient demographic, insurance, and order information during the pre-registration process. This role serves as a key communication link between patients, physician offices, and hospital departments to support efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. This position is for the Ortho & Podiatry clinic.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree.
  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Experience with patient access, scheduling, or registration systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently across departments.
  • Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information during pre-registration.
  • Coordinate emergency add-on procedures and scheduling changes with appropriate departments.
  • Maintain and distribute patient orders to appropriate areas.
