About the Role:
The Supply & Equipment Technician supports patient care by ensuring clinical and ancillary areas are consistently stocked with appropriate medical supplies and equipment. This role is responsible for inventory replenishment, charge entry, case cart stocking, and crash cart readiness in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently across all shifts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Basic computer and math skills.Â
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical supply experience or medical terminology training
- Experience with hospital inventory systems or Meditech
- Previous healthcare or clinical support experience
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Replenish and distribute supplies and equipment to clinical and ancillary areas, maintaining knowledge of charge and non-charge items.
- Accurately fill supply requests, manage par stock locations across all shifts, and verify warehouse deliveries.
- Enter patient charge tickets, track patient-use products, and input charges in Meditech.
- Stock surgical case carts and maintain operational readiness of ICU, ER, anesthesia, and specialty carts.
- Deliver, restock, and prepare crash carts; clean and reprocess related equipment per policy.
- Maintain a clean, organized SPD inventory area and complete required requisitions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
This position requires strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to accurately manage inventory in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable using computer systems, including Meditech or similar software, and can track multiple supplies and equipment simultaneously. Strong communication skills, dependability, and a team-oriented mindset are essential, along with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
