About the Role:

As a Phlebotomist working the full-time night shift, you will play a critical role in the collection of blood specimens from patients in a safe, efficient, and compassionate manner. Your primary objective is to ensure accurate and timely blood draws that support diagnostic testing and patient care during overnight hours. You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to maintain specimen integrity and proper documentation, contributing to the overall quality of laboratory services. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact patient outcomes by facilitating accurate laboratory results and supporting continuous healthcare operations throughout the night.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician from an accredited program (e.g., ASCP, NHA, or equivalent).
  • At least one year of experience performing phlebotomy in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of blood collection techniques, specimen handling, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work night shifts and maintain alertness during overnight hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hospital or acute care environment during night shifts.
  • Additional certifications related to patient care or laboratory procedures.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in patient communication and comfort.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures on patients of all ages with professionalism and care.
