Job Purpose or Objective(s): 聽聽Serve as an advocate, case manager and coordinator of services in situations involving child and family matters with the immediate goal of reduction of the frequency of Choctaw family disintegration while ensuring child safety.聽You will report to the ICW Director.
Primary Tasks:
1.聽聽聽聽聽聽 You will establish visible, productive working relationships with community partners such as state and private foster聽care agencies, other tribal foster care departments, and faith-based communities.
2.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop and implement, with an evaluation component, an annual foster care resource home recruitment plan.
3.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Recruit qualified Choctaw foster homes for placement of Choctaw children.
4.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Work with Children and Family Services for the recruitment and retention of foster families and identify barriers and聽implementation methods for successful recruitment.
5.聽聽聽聽聽聽 You will coordinate publicity and marketing for the Choctaw Nation Foster Care Program through development of聽branding materials and brochures, submitting articles for Biskinik and local newspapers, maintaining CNO Foster Care Social Media platforms, and promoting local events.
6.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in foster parent activities and meetings.
7.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Help coordinate special events and developing written materials for foster parents.
8.聽聽聽聽聽聽 You will maintain and accurate documentation of job performance.
9.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in marketing, public relations, or related field and聽two [2] years of directly related experience, OR six [6] years of directly related experience in lieu of education.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Basic knowledge of the Indian Child Welfare Act
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Negotiate, mediate and be positive at a professional level
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrate a high level of cultural competence, sensitivity and responsiveness.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Writing skills, correspondence, organizational, and time-management skills.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with social media and marketing
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to use support devices such as computers, fax machines, copiers/scanners, phones and tablets.
