About the Role:

The HR Administrative Assistant provides administrative and customer service support to the Human Resources department while helping create a positive experience for employees, applicants, visitors, and leaders. This position requires strong computer skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy office environment. The HR Administrative Assistant will assist with daily HR activities, maintain accurate records, answer questions, respond to emails and phone calls, and support recruiting and onboarding processes. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, professional, comfortable learning new computer systems, and able to manage multiple priorities while providing friendly and helpful customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software and systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a busy office environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Human Resources or healthcare administrative experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or another HR information system.
  • Experience with data entry, electronic records, and document management.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office or healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a dependable member of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly and professional customer service to employees, applicants, visitors, and department leaders.
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with routine HR questions and requests.
  • Provide administrative support for onboarding, orientation, and other HR activities.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, documents, and information in HR systems and files.
  • Assist with scheduling interviews, meetings, orientation, and other HR-related activities.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, organization, and professionalism.

Skills:

The HR Administrative Assistant should have strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. This position requires someone who is comfortable working on a computer, learning new programs, entering information accurately, and handling several tasks at the same time. The ability to stay organized, prioritize work, and pay attention to details is important in a busy HR environment. The successful candidate should be dependable, professional, and comfortable working with employees and applicants from different departments.
