Level 2 Mechanic Rental Equipment

Tejas Equipment Rental is a family-owned equipment rental company serving Texas contractors for over 20 years. Our McAllen branch is looking for an experienced mechanic to keep our rental fleet running strong.

What you'll do

You'll diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of construction equipment - skid steers, excavators, boom lifts, generators, and more. A typical day includes working through the maintenance schedule, troubleshooting units coming back from rental, and getting equipment inspected and ready to go back out. You'll work alongside a tight-knit branch team that takes pride in sending out equipment that works right the first time.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts (8 AM–12 PM).

What we're looking for

• Solid mechanical experience with construction or heavy equipment (diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems a plus)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Good communication with teammates and customers
• A safety-first mindset, every task, every time
• Own basic hand tools preferred
