Job DetailsJob Location: mcallen, TX 78503Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayResponsibilities: Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of production areas, equipment, tools, and common workspaces to meet safety, quality, and hygiene standards. Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and chemical usage guidelines for different areas of the facility. Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies, following all safety protocols and usage instructions. Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed for deep cleaning and sanitation. Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, drains, restrooms, break areas, and exterior facility spaces. Dispose of waste and recycling materials according to company and regulatory standards. Complete sanitation logs and checklists accurately and on time. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to a supervisor immediately. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and follow company safety policies. Assist with special cleaning tasks during shutdowns, inspections, or audits. QualificationsEducation and Knowledge: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required. Previous experience in sanitation, janitorial, or cleaning roles preferred, especially in industrial or food-grade environments. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and safe handling practices. Ability to follow detailed instructions, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. Physically able to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot/cold or wet environments. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.
