Warehouse Loader

Description

In this position you will cooperatively work with a team to efficiently create customers’ orders.  Safety will be a main priority for you and your fellow team members.  Your job will involve driving around warehouses loading trucks at night for the next day deliveries.   While this summary provides the basic duties of this position, warehouse employees may be asked to cross-train and assist in other areas. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Unload returning trucks and load the trucks with pallets for the next day.   
• Load pallets according to the delivery schedule from the staging area.   
• Place pallets in a way they are safe and secure to not affect the operations.   
• Place returned product in designated area for returns.   
• Assist with the shrink wrap team in moving pallets to the staging area.   

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred. 
• 1-year of forklift experience preferred.  
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency effectively with minimal errors. 
• Strong team player and the ability to get along with co-workers. 
• Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. 
• Communicate effectively with team members and complete other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations. 
• Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring overall efficiency of all warehouse operations. 
• Crosstrain in other areas of warehouse operation and warehouse responsibilities as needed. 

Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposure to frequent sitting.
