Job DetailsJob Location: McCall, ID 83638Position Type: Year-roundJob Category: Mountain OperationsJob Summary The Lift Mechanic is responsible for the safe operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of all aerial lifts, conveyors, and related equipment at Brundage Mountain Resort. The position performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, testing, and documentation to ensure safe and reliable lift operations. This position may be filled at either a Level I or Level II based on experience, skills, certifications, and demonstrated capabilities. Level I: Entry-level position for candidates with limited or no direct lift maintenance experience. Works under supervision while learning lift systems, maintenance procedures, and industry standards. Level II: Requires five (5) or more years of lift maintenance experience and the ability to work independently. May provide technical guidance, mentor less experienced mechanics, and assist in coordinating maintenance projects.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs on lifts, conveyors, and related equipment. Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual lift inspections and maintain accurate documentation. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues. Assist in determining lift operational status and respond to mechanical or safety concerns. Operate auxiliary power systems and participate in lift evacuation procedures as needed. Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Operate company vehicles, snowmobiles, machinery, and equipment safely and in accordance with company policies. Support compliance with all safety standards, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements. Provide exceptional guest service and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and guests. Participate in seasonal maintenance projects and equipment overhauls. QualificationsQualifications Level I Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Previous mechanical, electrical, construction, industrial maintenance, or ski area experience preferred. Level II Five (5) or more years of lift maintenance experience or equivalent mechanical/electrical experience. Demonstrated ability to independently inspect, troubleshoot, and repair lift systems. NDT Level II certification preferred or ability to obtain. Preferred for Both Levels Experience with hydraulics, rigging, low-voltage systems, welding, power tools, testing equipment, or heavy equipment. Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability. Ability to operate a snowmobile.   Other Requirements Valid driver's license and positive completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 80 feet using required fall protection. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and at high elevations. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak operating periods. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in confined spaces.  Must be able to pass a vision test with corrective lenses to meet the standards of NDT certification.
