JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Tool and Die Maker to build, repair, and maintain automotive stamping dies in a high‑volume, just‑in‑time manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, experience in die tryout and part finalization, and a solid background in engineering changes and continuous improvement.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Diagnose and resolve press-related tooling issues; implement effective corrective action plans.
  • Set up and operate all manual tool room machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.).
  • Build, repair, modify, and maintain stamping dies to meet production requirements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and related equipment.
  • Support die tryout activities and assist with part quality validation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tool performance and reliability.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience as a Tool and Die Maker.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, tool steels, heat treatment, and welding.
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.).
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
