Your Opportunity asĀ aĀ Process EngineerĀ 

The Process Engineer willĀ be responsible forĀ designing, implementing, andĀ optimizingĀ production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, increase throughput, and improve product quality.Ā EnsuringĀ that products meet quality and safety standards, as well as collaborating with other departments to troubleshoot issues and implement best practices.Ā Ā

Work Arrangements:Ā 100% on-site.Ā FlexibilityĀ required. Willingness to work off shift (including nights, weekends, and/or holidays) and flow to the work as neededĀ 

Ā 

InĀ thisĀ RoleĀ YouĀ Will:   

  • Develop technical mastery of the core production processes to deliver critical resultsĀ 

  • IdentifyĀ process improvements whileĀ interfacing withĀ department managers and technicians to deliver effective initiativesĀ 

  • Partner with technicians on corrective actions, implementations, and own and sustain resultsĀ Ā 

  • Model key safety and quality expectations related to plant operations and measure impact on processĀ 

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts in support of our High-Performance Organization (HPO) cultureĀ Ā 

  • Leverage effective continuous improvement and problem-solving tools (why-why, fishbone, failure analysis, etc.) to address root causeĀ Ā 

  • Support startups for new product initiatives and capital projectsĀ Ā 

  • Lead material and packaging improvements which could include managing material changes, qualifying alternate materials, delivering material cost savings, orĀ participatingĀ in new product launchesĀ 

  • Collect, analyze, andĀ utilizeĀ data to design and execute improvementsĀ 

  • Improve performance and drive loss optimizationĀ Ā 

  • Leverage your engineeringĀ expertiseĀ to make a meaningful impact on the process and packaging systems within our manufacturing facilities.Ā Ā 

  • Analyze operations to improve throughput and yield, while building the capabilities of the plant teams.Ā Ā 

  • Continue to grow your skill sets through cross functional collaboration and direct floor exposure in our manufacturing plants.Ā Ā

MinimumĀ Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree inĀ EngineeringĀ 

  • Problem solving and troubleshooting experience toĀ identifyĀ root causeĀ 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skillsĀ Ā 

  • Possess a ā€œlearner mindsetā€ – always striving to learn moreĀ 

  • Willingness to work off shift hours and flow to the work as neededĀ

AdditionalĀ skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:   

  • Engineering focused experience, this could include internship and/or co-op experienceĀ 

  • Strong analytical skills to drive statistically based decision makingĀ 

  • Project management experienceĀ Ā 

  • Willingness to travel for Factory Acceptance Tests (travel may include domestic or international travel, typically 1-2 times per year)Ā

Work Environment:Ā This jobĀ operatesĀ in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be high.Ā 

  

Physical Demands:Ā 

  • Regularly required to talk and hear.   

  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.Ā 

  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Ā 

  • Able to lift objects up to 50 poundsĀ frequently.Ā 

  • May push and pull heavy trash carts, dough carts, portable equipment, and catch pans.Ā 

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthĀ perceptionĀ and ability to adjust focus.
