Job Summary:
Under general supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and Lab Manager, the courier uses the laboratory process to safely transport laboratory specimens. At all times, work assignments will be determined by adjustment of laboratory test workload count.  As determined by the Lab Manager, the courier will be assigned up to 40 hours per week. The courier is expected to function safely while transporting specimens. Must be able to work and relate in a professional, non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors. Will be responsible for delivering them to the lab. Attendance to yearly mandatory education requirements is nonnegotiable and will be the responsibility of the employee to arrange and attend sessions.
