Job DetailsJob Location: Hanover, PA 17331Job Shift: SwingHanover Foods is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Production team as Heavy Laborers on First Shift. This position performs a variety of general production duties that help keep our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently. What You’ll Do Perform general production labor throughout the plant. Inspect products and remove defects or foreign materials. Prepare raw materials for production. Assist with production processes, including filling containers and operating production support equipment. Perform container inspections, including seam inspections, lid placement verification, and fill level checks. Keep work areas clean by sweeping, disposing of production materials, and maintaining good housekeeping practices. Learn the operation of production equipment and safely stop equipment when necessary. Assist with loading and unloading kettles and other production operations. Operate a forklift, electric pallet jack, bobcat, or hoist when trained and required. Report safety or equipment concerns immediately. Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety procedures. Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations. QualificationsRequired Basic math skills. Ability to accurately record production information. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good communication and teamwork skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work overtime as business needs require. Commitment to working safely. Preferred Previous experience in a food manufacturing or food processing facility. Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds as needed. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday. Ability to work around production equipment and machinery. Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing environments.
