Position Overview

The Print Production QA Supervisor leads the day to day operation of the Print QA team, ensuring printed products and garments meet our company quality standards and customer expectations. This role oversees QA employees, manages attendance and timekeeping, provides coaching and corrective action, and partners closely with production and support teams to resolve quality issues, standardize processes, and drive continuous improvement.


What You Will Do


Quality Assurance and Process Control

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily work of Print QA employees across shifts
  • Ensure print jobs meet quality standards for accuracy, color, registration, placement, and material condition
  • Establish and enforce quality standards and inspection procedures
  • Investigate print defects and garment quality issues, including customer returns, identify root causes, determine whether additional inventory, POs, or lots may be affected, and coordinate corrective actions
  • Maintain quality records, non conformance reports, corrective action documentation, and final quality checks on critical jobs as needed
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, improve and standardize QA processes across shifts, and train employees on quality standards, inspection methods, and best practices

Leadership and Employee Management

  • Manage, coach, train, mentor, and develop Quality Assurance team members, delegating work and providing clear direction and follow up
  • Review and approve employee timecards and payroll information for the QA team, including PTO and attendance records
  • Monitor employee attendance and performance, conduct performance reviews and coaching discussions, and administer corrective action in accordance with company policy and HR guidance
  • Document employee coaching, performance, attendance, and disciplinary discussions accurately and consistently
  • Address employee concerns and maintain a positive, professional work environment, enforcing safety, attendance, quality, and company policies

Cross Functional Support and Continuous Improvement

  • Work with press operators, production leaders, Prepress, Screen Room, Ink Room, Maintenance, HR, and other departments to resolve quality and employee related issues
  • Apply LEAN principles to improve processes, reduce waste, and prevent repeat quality problems
  • Open and or close the Screen Print department when required
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned, while demonstrating and supporting L2 Brands Core Values

Supervisory Responsibilities


Direct supervision of Print Quality Assurance employees, including daily work assignments, timekeeping, attendance, coaching, performance reviews, and corrective action.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular standing and walking, with frequent use of hands and arms
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, or balancing
  • Frequent lifting of up to 12 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to perform close visual inspection, including color, detail, depth, and focus
  • Work is performed mainly on the production floor and may involve exposure to moving equipment, inks, chemicals, heat, and production noise

Schedule

This is a full time position. Normal work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Longer hours, evenings, or weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Required

  • One to three years of related production or quality experience
  • Ability to identify print and garment defects and understand possible causes
  • Strong communication, coaching, problem solving, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to handle employee performance and attendance matters professionally and consistently
  • Ability to make decisions and manage multiple priorities in a production environment
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • In house QA or lead experience
  • Knowledge of print production processes
