Join our team at Hanover Iron Works, Inc. facility as a Material Handler, you will fabricate and finish metal components using welding and grinding techniques to meet quality and project specifications and be an essential part of our professional and customer-centric team.
SUMMARY
The Material Handler is mainly responsible for assisting the main painter with moving and prepping steel items for Paint. Loading, running, and unloading parts from the Sand Blaster.
Assisting other material handlers with staging material and loading trucks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stage and prep steel items for paint.
- Operate forklift as needed.
- Perform rigging work to move materials as required.
- Bring in or remove steel from the shop as needed.
- Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with overhead cranes is a plus.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors.
- Works in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and procedures.
- Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
- Basic math skills are required.
- Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment.
- Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours.
- Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
