Position Title:Â ROTC Instructor (AFJROTC or NJROTC)

Work Days:Â 210 or 230
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. Â
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments that are in accordance with established guidelines. Â
- Instruct and monitor students. Â
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction. Â
- Manage student behavior inside and outside the classroom according to established guidelines. Â
- Provide appropriate and meaningful feedback on student work. Â
- Observe and assess student performance and development. Â
- Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development.Â
- Assign and grade classwork, homework, assessments, and assignments.Â
- Participate in district, school, department, and parent meetings.Â
- Maintain knowledge of military job entry requirements and current military methods and equipment.Â
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:Â
- Hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator Certificate or Permit or meet the district's professional qualifications. Â
- Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community.Â
- Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and good professional reputation. Â
- Must abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators. Â
- Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.Â
- Ability to be present at the physical worksite. Â
- Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting. Â
- Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. Â
- Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations.
- Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
