Compensation
The compensation target for this role is: $29.50 - $34.50Job Summary
The Injection Molding Technician will be able to help troubleshoot performance issues and recommend maintenance schedules or process changes to maximize machine performance. Purple has many unique materials that are not processed anywhere else in the world.āÆ A successful candidate will be prepared to discover how to optimize equipment and processes for these unique materials.āÆJob Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Ā
Ensure IMM equipment is running at peak efficienciesāÆĀ Ā
Ensuring operators are operating the equipment within accepted parametersāÆĀ Ā
Ensuring operators are fully trained to operate their machines as well as perform light troubleshootingāÆĀ Ā
Ensure all shifts (day and night) have useful documentation, SOPS, SW, Troubleshooting guides and the likeāÆĀ Ā
Assist Engineering and Maintenance in troubleshooting IMM issuesāÆĀ Ā
Assist Engineering in designing changes or upgrades to the IMM equipmentāÆĀ Ā
Although most days are expected to be 8-5, Purple runs a 24 hour manufacturing facility with a 7-7 shift.āÆ The IM Tech will need to regularly audit operators on the night shift (7pm to 7am).āÆĀ Ā

Required Skills, Education, Experience:Ā
Ā
Minimum of 5 years IMM experienceĀ
Follows the scientific method in troubleshooting or finetuning equipmentāÆĀ Ā
Prior experience with multiple polymers in an IMM environmentāÆĀ Ā
Intimately familiar with how IMM systems workāÆĀ Ā
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints/schematics and understand manufacturing equipmentāÆĀ Ā
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to train as well as lead.āÆ Someone with a proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.āÆĀ Ā
Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)āÆĀ Ā
Responsiveness to internal and external customer requirements.āÆĀ Ā
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.āÆĀ Ā

This full-time position is expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week. This is a good faith estimate, and actual hours may vary based on business needs.
