What You'll Do

As a Security Systems Specialist, you'll install, troubleshoot, maintain, and program a variety of commercial security and access control systems, including:

• Access control systems
• Automated gates and gate operators
• Electronic fencing systems
• Vehicle barriers and perimeter security equipment
• Integrated security and low-voltage systems

Daily Responsibilities

• Install and configure access control and security systems
• Program and troubleshoot gate operators and automation equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and service repairs
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and networking issues
• Integrate systems with network and building management platforms
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics
• Document installations, inspections, and service calls
• Train customers on system operation when needed
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company procedures
• Deliver exceptional customer service on every project

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with:
  • Access control systems
  • Low-voltage systems
  • Electronic security systems
  • Gate automation
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with networking and IP-based security systems preferred
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification or Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field
• Experience in commercial or industrial security installations
• Certifications are a plus, including:
  • Certified Access Control Technician (CACT)
  • Low Voltage Technician Certification
  • Electronic Security or Gate Automation Certifications

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials
• Climb ladders and work at various heights
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces when necessary
