Description

  

As a Trauma-Informed Counselor in our school-based behavioral health and wellness program, you will play a vital role in supporting students in any of of the following settings: High School, Junior High School, K-6 Grade school, by providing trauma-informed counseling services. Focused on promoting mental well-being, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to address the diverse needs of students and contribute to creating a safe and supportive school environment.

Requirements

  

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Bilingual Spanish, preferred.
  • Licensure or certification as a counselor or therapist (e.g., LPC, LCSW) preferred.
  • Specialized training or certification in trauma-informed care, conflict resolution, or related areas strongly desired.
  • Experience providing counseling services to children and adolescents in a school or mental health setting, with a focus on trauma and resilience.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based counseling techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and behavior management principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competence to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and engage stakeholders in a collaborative problem-solving process.
