Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty truck parts sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck manufacturing divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft’s manufacturing facilities are located in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.

Job Summary

Dynacraft, a division of PACCAR, strives to be the premier supplier in product quality, on-time delivery, and pre-production support to PACCAR’s Kenworth and Peterbilt truck divisions and PACCAR Parts. The Materials Manager - Planning & Procurement is responsible for leading the Materials Planning team, including local, remote, and supplier-employed staff, to manage Dynacraft’s multiple supply chains in support of manufacturing and distribution operations across all Dynacraft facilities.

This role is responsible for driving supplier performance, improving material availability, supporting inventory management, and ensuring planning activities align with Dynacraft’s operational goals for delivery reliability, profitability, and customer support. The ideal candidate is proactive, data-driven, and has a proven record of leading sustainable supply chain and process improvements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Materials Planning staff to support Dynacraft’s operating objectives, including delivery reliability, inventory management, and profitability.
  • Establish performance standards, goals, and objectives for the Materials Planning team.
  • Train and coach team members on SAP process excellence to improve effectiveness, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Partner with Production, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Corporate Purchasing, and suppliers to communicate and resolve material availability issues.
  • Lead supplier improvement projects focused on improving supplier delivery reliability and overall supply chain performance.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement projects that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support operational excellence.
  • Use fact-based decision-making and analytical problem-solving to address supply chain, inventory, and materials planning challenges.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting business objectives and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and business partners to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to supervise, coach, and develop employees.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong supply chain management and material planning experience with a proven record of success.
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP Materials Requirements Planning, strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years of supplier management experience.
  • Proven ability to solve problems using fact-based decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and business partners.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Understanding of production facilities, assembly operations, and heavy-duty truck operations is strongly desired.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field required
  • Master’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • SAP Materials Requirements Planning training.
  • Six Sigma training.
  • Project Management training.
