Job Duties
Manage the development of manufacturing equipment specifications and requirements for the plant and product programs. Manage daily activities of the engineering, facility, and maintenance teams including employee development. Develop and drive a strong culture of high performance, excellent quality, and teamwork. Provide guidance on operations performance metrics improvements. Identify and coordinate capital investment opportunities. Participate in developing and executing departmental goals and objectives including department budget. Continuously improve the production process through improvements to equipment, tools, procedures or other factors impacting production capability. Responsible for installation and rearrangement of plant and production equipment ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget. Perform other projects and assignments as required. Ensure compliance with Corporate and Division policies, procedures and standards.

Job Requirements
Job Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related Engineering field or foreign degree equivalent and 3 years of supervisory experience in an operations/production environment, including at least 1 year of experience in each of the following:
1) Developing and implementing multi-million-dollar projects on time and within budget, working with cross functional teams to support manufacturing operations for heavy equipment in low to mid volume and broad options offered within same product lines.Â
2) Managing project timeframe scheduling, equipment definition, budgeting, and vendor negotiations, reporting progress to senior management using project management tools and weekly status reports.
3) Developing and implementing automated manufacturing and assembly processes including robotic welding, adhesive dispensing, robotic trimming, and automated packaging systems, applying knowledge of robotic programming (ABB IRC5, FANUC Router ware), PLC troubleshooting, and automation equipment commissioning.

4) Developing and implementing maintenance strategies aligning with organizational goals, including predictive maintenance plans, downtime tracking via software, and vendor management for OEM services on Fabrications equipment such as lasers, sheet rollers, welding machines, stamping presses, press brakes, dust collectors and facilities equipment such as HVAC systems and hoist and crane systems.

5) Performing root cause analysis and corrective actions on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in manufacturing equipment, including reading and interpreting electrical schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, applying NEC codes and NFPA 70E standards for voltages up to 480Vm, and upgrading safety PLCs and safety systems on heavy machinery.

6) Coordinating comprehensive risk and ergonomics assessments for assembly and fabrications processes, implementing ergonomic tooling improvements, and developing Job Safety Analysis programs to reduce operator risk and improve workplace safety, complying with industry standards.

7) Leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives focused to increase Efficiency, Productivity, Improving Quality and Reducing Cost, applying knowledge of continuous improvement techniques including Six Sigma and Lean Flow.

8) Leading data analysis and reporting efforts to support operational decision-making, applying knowledge of industry 4.0.

SALARY: $123,371 to $186,300/year.Â
