How you’ll contribute

A Pharmacist who excels in this role:

Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree (required). Doctoral degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

Pharmacist License in the state of Texas
Experience with EHR (Meditech/Epic)
CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI)
Critical Thinking Skills, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
