Meriwether Godsey is looking for an Account Manager to assist the Director of Dining Services in all aspects of managing a high-volume food service program, as well as special events and high-end catering at a private day and boarding college preparatory school located in Mclean, VA.


What you will do:Ā 

  • Provide day-to-day coaching, support, training, and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, food safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met.Ā 
  • Support booking, planning, execution, and communication related to all campus catered events, as well as any off-campus events.Ā 
  • Assist in menu planning for special events to meet company brand, standards, and budget requirements.Ā 
  • Supervise staff during all aspects of catered events to ensure high-quality service standards and presentations are metĀ 
  • Monitor and supervise setup and maintenance of the dining area and food stations to ensure quality standards.Ā 
  • Assist leadership in supervising and assessing staff needs; supporting purchasing and inventory activities.Ā 
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees.Ā 
  • Foster an inclusive environment for all staff and guests, while maintaining effective client and customer-centric relationships.Ā 
  • Work alongside management for all personnel decisions, to include recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and firing.Ā

What you need:Ā 

  • Associate’s Degree (Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, etc.) or 2+ of related leadership experience
  • ServSafeĀ® FPM Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employmentĀ 
  • Working knowledge of dining room operations; demonstrated experience in promoting and driving catering programs
  • Experience using online Food Management Systems preferredĀ 
  • Growing knowledge of sustainable practicesĀ 
  • High levels of professionalism and strong leadership skillsĀ Ā 
  • Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skillsĀ 
  • Emerging leadership skills and strong customer service orientationĀ 
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment while fostering strong client and customer relationshipsĀ
