Job Summary:

This role is responsible to participate and assist in technology consulting related engagements, including IT Strategy, IT Risk Management including Cybersecurity, IT Due-Diligence, IT Financial Management and IT Organization and Governance, at the direction of the Director, Technology Advisory.  The Associate will interact with client personnel, thus good communication skills and a strong presence are needed. 

Job Duties:

  • Participates in engagement projects in consultation with engagement manager
  • Assists with conducting assessments such as Payment Card Industry (PCI); National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); Center for Internet Security (CIS); The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) including readiness reports, and other related tasks
  • Drafts presentations of BDO work product to client 
  • Identifies and prioritizes initial key risks and assesses their impact and likeliness of occurrence. 
  • Assists with preparing reports for client highlighting work performed, issues identified and BDO recommendations
  • Coordinates with other BDO practices in relation to technical issues and other due diligence projects components in conjunction with the engagement manager.
  • Travel required as necessary

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science, required

Experience:

  • Three (3) months of experience in management consulting, technology advisory, or technology project management, preferred

License(s)/Certification(s)

  • N/A

Software

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or GoogleSuite, required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to identify issues and anomalies
  • Solid organizational skills, especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Ability to participate in a team environment on engagements 
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm 

 

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

California Range: $70,000 - $80,000
Colorado Range: $70,000 - $80,000
Illinois Range: $70,000 - $80,000
Maryland Range: $70,000 - $80,000
Minnesota Range: $70,000 - $80,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $70,000 - $80,000 
Washington Range: $70,000 - $80,000
Washington DC Range: $83,000 - $87,000
