Mercan Properties, a company part of the Mercan Group of companies, is a professional services firm involved in all phases of Hospitality Projects cycle.

Currently, Mercan Properties is managing several hospitality projects across all country and expects to significantly increase its portfolio in the next 24 months. To date, the company has been involved in 30 projects, which has allowed Mercan Properties to position itself as one of the most relevant companies in the Hospitality Property Development industry in Portugal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act under the coordination of the Head of Construction South

  • Coordinate the Project Management since the tender stage until the opening of the Hotels

  • Analyze and study the specifications and other elements of the Hotel projects to make proposals for improvement/optimization

  • Coordinate the Management of Tenders

  • Manage procurement and contracting processes

  • Control and monitor the programming and planning of the Macro Project

  • Execute the Financial Management of the Macro Project

  • Manage the processes with the Hotel brands

  • Control the supplies and assemblies of direct contracts

  • Manage the entire process of quality control of construction with the suppliers

  • Manage the processes of commissioning, inspection, and reception of contracts

  • Manage relationships between all stakeholders of the Macro Project

  • Plan and control the licensing processes with the different official entities involved

  • Organize documentation of real estate assets (written and drawn parts of the various projects, licenses, certificates....)

  • Prepare monitoring reports

Key Requirements:

  • Master of Civil Engineering degree from an accredited university

  • A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Project Management. Experience in hotel projects, predominantly mid/high range, or multi-service projects preferred

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English

  • Availability to live in the Algarve and travel in Portugal and abroad
