ARES is recruiting for a Contract Manager with Government contract experience for a short-term assignment assisting with upcoming contract phase-ins.
The selected individual will be responsible for:
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing a broad range of contracts and agreements
- Completing comprehensive reviews of customer contracts and terms and conditions
- Providing interpretation of contract terms and conditions to management and other functional groups.
- Advising and assisting management on contractual matters including compiling and analyzing data/information; maintaining historical information/files; and task order planning
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of three years of directly relevant experience in a contracts management position.
- Experience in contracting with the U.S. government; experience in aerospace is desired.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Experience with Cost Plus contracts.
- Knowledge of Federal contract formation and proposal preparation.
- Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong planning and organization skills. Proven attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with a team at all levels of an organization, including ability to effectively interact with and engage senior management both internally and externally on key issues during the contract and compliance process.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
