What will you do?
Position Summary
The Executive Officer (EXO) serves as the principal coordination and administrative support resource for the leadership team within a high-profile customer division. This division executes highly sensitive, mission-critical activities that directly impact U.S. national security. The EXO manages executive communications, tracks high-priority actions and drives them to closure, facilitates leadership meetings, and ensures efficient execution of administrative and operational processes across the division.

Key Responsibilities
- Executive Support: Work directly with the customer leadership team to support division priorities and coordinate execution of organizational initiatives.
- Strategic Communications: Draft, edit, and package executive-level communications, including operational reports, talking points, leadership briefings, and weekly highlights.
- Tasker Management: Coordinate, track, and execute ad-hoc taskers requiring rapid engagement across a division.
- High-Impact Deliverables: Create professional briefings, reports, and background papers tailored for executive-level audiences.
- Process Optimization: Establish and refine administrative and operational workflows to improve divisional efficiency.
- Meeting Facilitation: Coordinate executive calendars, build agendas, and capture action items for critical leadership meetings.

Required Qualifications
- TS clearance with polygraph
- Experience: 5+ years of experience supporting senior government leaders, program executives, or operational management teams.
- Client Facing: Minimum of 3+ years of direct experience working alongside senior government executives.
- Organization: Demonstrated experience managing multiple competing priorities, coordinating leadership activities, and tracking high-visibility actions with minimal oversight.
- Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a proven track record of distilling complex data into clear executive summaries.
- Interpersonal Skills: Advanced relationship-building capabilities to diplomatically collaborate across a diverse team.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated flexibility to thrive, pivot, and deliver high-quality products under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional Judgment: Demonstrated discretion, sound judgment, and ability to manage sensitive information in support of senior leadership.
- Tools: Proficiency with standard government platforms including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working within the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD).
- Familiarity with the specific customer’s internal task management and global communication systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $145,000-$180,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
