What You'll do:

We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented HR Analyst to provide administrative and operational support across several areas of Human Resources, including onboarding, HR operations, learning and development, employee career profiles, reporting, employee engagement, and HR help desk support.
 

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who is eager to learn and build broad HR experience. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, customer-service oriented, highly organized, and focused on delivering accurate, high-quality work. This role will work closely with members of the HR team and employees across the organization while gaining hands-on experience with HR systems, processes, and programs.
 

This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office, including Mondays (which are mandatory) to support new hire onboarding.
 

What You'll Do

  • Provide administrative support for key HR processes, including background checks, I-9 employment eligibility verification, and new hire onboarding.

  • Support Monday onboarding activities and help ensure new employees have a positive and well-coordinated onboarding experience.

  • Administer learning and development activities, including adding new courses, running reports, and maintaining learning content and records.

  • Conduct acceptance testing and quality reviews of training guides, learning materials, and related resources, identifying issues and coordinating updates as needed.

  • Support the maintenance of employee career profiles and online resumes, reviewing information for completeness, accuracy, and quality.

  • Run and review reports from Workday, our HR system of record, to support HR programs, processes, and business needs.

  • Coordinate HR communications, employee engagement activities, meetings, and events, including scheduling, logistics, materials, and follow-up.

  • Support the HR help desk by reviewing incoming requests, triaging tickets to the appropriate subject matter expert (SME), and helping ensure timely follow-up.

  • Maintain accurate HR information, documentation, and records in accordance with established processes.

  • Partner with HR team members on projects and other priorities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of professional experience in HR, recruiting, operations, administration, customer service, project coordination, or a related area.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.

  • Strong customer-service orientation and ability to interact professionally with employees and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn new systems, processes, and areas of HR.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Must be local to the DC Metro area and able to work in the Mclean, VA office three days per week, with Monday's being mandatory.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Previous experience working in an HR or People Operations environment.

  • Experience with Workday or another HRIS.

  • Experience with a learning management system (LMS), HR ticketing/help desk system, or similar technology.

  • Experience supporting employee onboarding, learning administration, HR reporting, or employee engagement activities.

  • Exposure to project coordination or project management practices.

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
