Job Title: Journeyman Level Contracts Support Specialist – Remote

This position supports a contract currently pending award. Employment is contingent upon official government contract award.

Location:
 Work may be performed anywhere in the U.S., with periodic visits to local VA offices for security processing, CAC issuance, and pickup of government‑furnished equipment.

Salary Range:
 Commensurate with experience, education, and certifications.

Candidates must have:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant federal contracting experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including at least 24 semester hours in qualifying business‑related coursework (e.g., accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization/management).

  • Documented experience in both pre‑award and post‑award acquisition processes.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR).

Scope of Work

Perform a range of contracting actions across the pre‑award and post‑award phases using established federal acquisition procedures to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant contract execution.

Primary Duties

  • Solicit, evaluate, negotiate, analyze, and advise on contracts for supplies and services, including complex and high‑dollar acquisitions.

  • Assist with contract awards and terminations, providing informed recommendations to the Contracting Officer.

  • Analyze and evaluate certified cost and pricing data, along with other pricing information, to determine price reasonableness.

  • Prepare and maintain complete contract files and required electronic documentation.

  • Research and interpret evolving regulations, policies, guidance, and laws to support contracting recommendations.
