If you are a driven individual eager to contribute to cutting-edge building technology projects, we want to hear from you.

S2N is not just a technology firm; We bring together exceptional engineers, technical experts, problem solvers, and construction leaders united by a passion for delivering complex, cutting-edge technology systems. As a trusted partner across critical sectors including Healthcare, Higher Education, Arenas/Stadiums, Museums, Data Center/Mission Critical, and Government (Local / State / Federal) projects, S2N drives success from concept through performance optimization.

If you're ready to build the foundational technology that powers the modern world, S2N is where you belong.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Superintendent to join our dynamic team. As a Superintendent, you will leverage your capacity for innovation and problem-solving to lead field operations, ensuring an exceptional project is delivered to our clients. You will oversee contracted work, ensuring compliance with contract documents and the project schedule while also implementing a culture of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the timely and quality installation of contracted work for the total project.
  • Implement a culture of safety and quality among S2N employees and trade contractors; conduct regular safety inspections to ensure all work conditions comply with company, contract, and government regulations.
  • Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule, exhibiting a command of critical schedule milestones with all project stakeholders.
  • Monitor subcontractors' performance with an emphasis on quality of work and safety, ensuring it aligns with contract drawings and specifications.
  • Create and manage a plan to successfully sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials and personnel.
  • Administer subcontracts as assigned, ensuring a thorough understanding of scope, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-functioning team.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with all project stakeholders, including owners, design teams, and subcontractors.
  • Participate in close-out activities, including punch lists and building operations training.
  • Demonstrate advanced problem-solving capabilities to find ways to overcome obstacles, issues, and conflicts on the job.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar technical field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in construction, with a focus on technology systems installation preferred.
  • Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction process, including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans effectively.
  • Working knowledge of applicable safety and building regulations (e.g., OSHA).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong passion for technology systems, construction management, and the industry is essential.
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of construction management software platforms such as Procore, FieldWire, and Bluebeam.

The Physical Side of the Role: Given that a good portion of your day will be spent at a desk, you should be comfortable with prolonged periods of focused work, whether it's collaborating with colleagues, analyzing data, or developing strategies. The role demands effective communication and sharp visual acuity for reviewing complex documents and performing detailed computer work. While there are times for quiet concentration, you'll also be expected to move actively throughout the office and travel occasionally to various locations, including dynamic construction sites, utilizing different modes of transportation. The ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 25 pounds on occasion (think a box of files or small office equipment), is also required.

Your Work Environment: Your primary workspace will be in our professional office, which has a typical, quiet-to-moderate noise and light levels. As part of your work, you may also be required to visit active construction sites. These environments are naturally more dynamic and can include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, louder noise, and moving equipment. Your safety is our top priority, and you'll be expected to follow Clark Construction's safety policies and procedures, and all applicable laws, at all locations.

Our High-Performing Culture: This is a demanding, high-performance environment. We are looking for candidates who are energized by challenge, thrive under pressure, and are prepared to do what it takes to achieve exceptional results. Success in this role requires significant commitment, including flexibility to work extended hours, especially during critical project phases or client deadlines. Beyond regular working hours, there will be occasions where business needs require your attention, particularly for time-sensitive matters or emergencies. You are expected to monitor and respond to communications (phone calls, emails, text messages) as required to address these situations effectively. Your ability to manage these expectations and be responsive when critical issues arise is key to your success in this role and our collective success as a team.

A Drug Free Workplace: Clark promotes a drug free workplace. A pre-employment drug “fitness for duty” screening is required, and the company conducts random quarterly drug “fitness for duty” tests.

Location: This role is for a project based in McLean, VA
