About the role
We are seeking a HR Compliance Manager to lead our HR compliance strategy and elevate the employee experience across our multi-state footprint. This role is critical in shaping our regulatory practices, ensuring our policies are current and compliant, and advising leaders on risk mitigation and employee relations.
As a strategic partner to People Leaders and People Partners, you will help build scalable HR programs, support investigations, and ensure best practices are applied consistently across the employee lifecycle.

What you’ll do
HR Policy Development & Compliance Leadership
- Develop, implement, and manage an HR compliance program that includes risk mitigation, streamlined processes, and best practices.
- Build a long-term compliance roadmap supporting annual operational cycles, policy updates, and organizational governance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; recommend improvements to strengthen adherence.
- Track legislative changes and update policies proactively.
- Conduct audits of HR processes and develop remediation plans as needed.
- Lead change management initiatives for employee relations and policy updates.
- Support internal/external audits related to labor law, safety, and compliance reporting.
- Collaborate with HR and legal partners on compliance matters and policy development.
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of HR processes: hiring, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and HRIS updates.
- Manage compliance reporting programs, including EEO, pay transparency, and government reporting requirements.
HR Service Delivery & Employee Relations Support
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing fair, consistent, and empathetic guidance on employee relations matters.
- Partner with People Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Culture teams to support compliance across hiring, onboarding, compensation, investigations, and offboarding.
- Support workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and policy enforcement.
- Identify employee relations trends and recommend proactive solutions to strengthen engagement and retention.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflows and enhance HR service delivery.

Education & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree or HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of progressive HR or compliance experience, ideally in a multi-location environment (hospitality, retail, fitness, or similar).
- Experience developing or managing HR compliance programs and policies.
- Experience supporting employee relations investigations and conflict resolution.
- Experience with HR audits, regulatory reporting, and employment law compliance.
