Summary Objective:

The Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for providing a safe and functional club environment across his assigned region under the management of the Facilities Department and with the support of the club staff. The Regional Facilities Manager will manage facility technicians within the region, coordinate all vendor repair requests and renovation projects, plan and complete major repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety compliance at assigned clubs.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver the ultimate fitness experience to every member, every time
  • Manage facility and equipment repair and maintenance workflow in Service Channel across assigned region
  • Oversee facility and equipment technicians within assigned region
  • Communicate with facility staff, club staff, and vendors on larger repairs and maintenance
  • Regularly inspect clubs for repair and maintenance issues as well as hazardous conditions
  • Plan and complete major repairs with the in-house technician teams and coordinate renovation projects with vendors

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, and respond to facility and equipment repair and maintenance work orders at assigned clubs.
  • Complete regular inspections to identify repair and maintenance issues and assign those to facility staff using Service Channel.
  • Complete quality control inspections on carpentry, tile, painting, drywall and general building repair completed by Facility Techs
  • Complete quality control inspections on plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs completed by Facility Techs
  • Complete quality control inspections on fitness equipment repair and maintenance
  • Manage all vendor requests on repairs in region and coordinate those repairs with club staff and Facility Techs
  • Oversee the audits and updates for major asset and fitness equipment inventory information in Service Channel.
  • Manage building material and replacement parts inventory across US Fitness properties
  • Answer all inquiries from senior leadership and management in a timely, complete manner
  • Interview, hire, and train new facility technicians in region
  • Uphold club, building, facilities, service, program, and emergency procedures
  • Attend all mandatory meetings
  • Assume all other duties as assigned
  • Complete after hours and emergency on-call work as needed

 Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced skills in carpentry, painting, drywall, and other general facility repair tasks
  • Advanced understanding of commercial electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems and extensive experience working on that equipment independently
  • Advanced understanding of fitness equipment repair and maintenance and extensive experience working on that equipment independently
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly and efficiently work with Service Channel and other programs and applications used in the daily operation of the department
  • Strong work ethic that includes punctuality, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
  • Outwardly facing professional appearance
  • Ability to handle situations with patience, tact, and professionalism
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Communicate verbally and non-verbally
  • Ability to select and use appropriate tools safe and effectively

Required Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • 5 or more years of previous experience in facilities 
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Other relevant facility maintenance certifications
  • Previous management experience preferred
