Summary Objective: As a Corporate Summer Intern, you will gain valuable operations experience as you assist with ongoing projects and daily activities, as well as collaborating with various business stakeholders. This person will work with Operations staff to complete independent and/or team projects to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction at our organization. This person will also be responsible for assisting in the day to day administration of business processes including accounting, marketing, payroll, and human resource functions as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver the Ultimate Fitness Experience to every member, every time
  • Answer telephone inquiries and communicate effectively with callers
  • Participate in special department projects
  • Complete data entry
  • Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, organize documents, photocopy, fax, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial, membership, and all other reports as needed
  • Assist in facilities day-to-day operations
  • Assist with set up and break down of corporate office events and meetings
  • Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic company information
  • Assist in preparing information and research materials
  • Sort and manage files
  • Take notes and memos during meetings
  • Run general industry related errands
  • Type documents, drafts, and reports
  • Manage databases and input information, data, and records
  • Respond to web correspondence, social media posts, and emails
  • Research and gather documentation on company position in industry
  • Set up, break down, organize, and maintain conference rooms
  • Create and maintain PowerPoint presentations
  • Attend company functions and networking events
  • Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks
  • Update and post supervised social media and website content
  • Work mornings, nights and weekends as necessary
  • Assume other duties as assigned

 Required Experience, Education, & Certifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Some college or university education preferred

  • Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Strong work ethic that includes punctuality, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude

  • Working knowledge of mail processes such as postage machine, FedEx and UPS
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, MS Windows)
