Overview
The Systems Engineer positions will deliver user-centric services that improve productivity and collaboration, while ensuring all systems adhere to federal security requirements and best practices to safeguard data and operations. These roles will deliver full lifecycle support, including operations, maintenance, enhancements, and new system implementations, while driving process standardization and automation to increase efficiency and reduce risks.Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, operate and maintain audio video equipment and related components
- Trouble shoot AV equipment as needed
- Connect to cloud-based conferencing services including providing assistance to end users in conducting video teleconference sessions in-person, virtual, or a hybrid of both including conference/event preparation, and monitoring VTC equipment and system performance
- Report equipment and network problems to appropriate stakeholders for maintenance or repair
- Other duties as assigned
 Minimum Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
- Proven experience with maintenance/repair of electro/mechanical devices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Previous experience with cabling including, but not limited to running of low voltage wire for audio video equipment, interactive exhibits and relative network connectivity
- Knowledge of IT networking components, including IP configurations, switchers, routers, and security protocols
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff
 Preferred Qualifications
- Prior knowledge or certifications in AMX programming and networking essentials
- Certifications such as InfoComm’s CTS-I (Certified Technology Specialist-Installation) or those from the Society of Broadcast Engineers.Â
- Familiarity with UHD/HD broadcast standards and modern AV industry trends.Â
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in AV Technology, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree
Compensation
$105,000-$110,000.Â
