Job DetailsJob Location: MAC - McPherson, KS 67460Position Type: Full TimeTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayRole: To provide quality living and community support and be responsive to individuals needs in residential, work or community settings. Teach, support and facilitate choices for individuals in their homes, work or community settings.   Major Duties and Responsibilities:   Implement Person Centered Support Plans for assigned individuals. Assist with daily living skills including, but not limited to, meal preparation, general hygiene, toileting, general housekeeping, work and leisure activities. Administer medication and treatment(s). Complete documentation as required through the general course of duties. Report to the appropriate Level 2 or Level 3, Program Manager, Case Manager or Wellness Liaison any occurrences that affect the immediate well-being of the individual. Attend all meetings as assigned and required. If approved as a driver of agency vehicles, employee may transport individuals. Hours for this position are 7a - 4p Monday - Friday. Other duties as assigned.   Expectations: Prompt, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position. Adhere to scheduled hours. Adhere to individuals Person Centered Support Plans. Meet agency standards of necessary supports to ensure safety, happiness, and well-being of individuals served. QualificationsKnowledge and Skills: Experience: Prior direct care experience preferred, but not required. Education: High School diploma/equivalent preferred. Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and individuals served. Must demonstrate compassion for individuals with disabilities. Other Skills: Basic mathematical, grammar and computer skills preferred. Valid drivers license preferred. Physical/Environmental: Must be able to lift, push and/or pull a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs, and provide physical intervention on a regular basis. Noise level may vary, depending upon duty assigned. Due to the potential intimate nature of care and physical proximity involved with some of those receiving HCBS funded I/DD services through Disability Supports, and in order to promote a safe work environment for both the caregiver and those for whom we care, you may, from time-to-time, be required to wear PPE, (Personal Protective Equipment). If PPE is required, Disability Supports will provide it.
