Job DetailsJob Location: MAC - McPherson, KS 67460Position Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeRole:   To provide quality living and community support and be responsive to individuals' needs in residential work or community settings.  Teach, support and facilitate choices for individuals in their homes, work or community settings. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Implement Person Centered Support Plans for assigned individuals. Assist with daily living skills including but not limited to, meal preparation, general hygiene, toileting, general housekeeping, work and leisure activities. Administer medication and treatment(s). Complete documentation as required through the general course of duties. Report to the appropriate Level 2 of Level 3, Program Manager, Case manager or Wellness Liaison any occurrences that affect the immediate well-being of the individual. Attend all meetings as assigned and required. If approved as a driver of agency vehicles, employee may transport individuals. Other duties as assigned. Expectations: Prompt, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position. Understand and support the mission state of Disability Supports to enrich the lives of those we serve, as evidenced by an unfailing positive attitude in all action on behalf of individuals served. Adhere to scheduled hours. Adhere to individual's' Person Centered Support plans Meet agency standards of necessary supports to ensure safety, happiness, and well-being of individuals served. Knowledge and Skills: Experience:  Prior direct care experience preferred, but no t required. Education:  High School diploma/equivalent preferred. Interpersonal Skills:  Must be able to lift, push and/or pull a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs and provide physical interventions on a regular basis.  Noise level may vary, depending upon duty assigned.   Due to the potential intimate nature of care and physical proximity involved with some of those receiving HCBS funded I/DD services through Disability Supports, and in order to promote a safe work environment for both the caregiver and those for whom we care, you may, from time-to-time, be required to wear PPE, (Personal Protective Equipment).  If PPPE is required, Disability Supports will provide it.
